All I Need

What do I need?

At first I had no idea

All I knew was what I didn't need

I didn't need drama, liars, hypocrites, fakes, or snakes

I struggled to find what I truly needed

Then I lost a relative

Then I gained a new love

I came to realize then that

All I need is Love

To keep me in high spirits

All I need is Family

To protect me and make me stronger

All I need is Courage

To carry on when things get tough

All I need is Faith

When the waters start to get rough

All I need is Compassion

So I am able to forgive

All I need is Joy

So I can truly live

All I need is the little things

Nothing great at all

Some people try to bring me down

But I still stand tall

All I need is what is already enstilled in me

To strive and be the very best I can be
