All I need...
If I found myself on an island alone,
forced to survive on my own,
what would I bring?
I could bring a boat in hopes to leave,
but then what If I could not sail?
I could bring some water to help with thirst,
but what about when it runs out?
I need to think bigger, better, smarter!
If I found myself on an island alone,
forced to survive on my own,
what would I bring?
I could bring with me a person,
but what if they become ill?
I could bring a flame,
but what about when it is extinguished?
No, none of these are quite right,
think, think, think!
If I found myself on an island alone,
forced to survive on my own,
what would I bring?
I could bring a knife to help cut the trees,
but what about when it becomes dull?
I could bring a blanket to help keep me warm,
But what about when it becomes worn?
I cannot figure out an item I would need,
if I found myself on an island alone,
forced to survive on my own.
The reason why is quite clear,
the island sits in a world of water that I fear.
Never could I board a boat,
for the fear would grip me by the throat.
Never could I board a plane,
for my consciousness would wane.
So you see I would not find myself on an island alone
forced to survive on my own.
I would not find myself greatly in need,
of an item that would help me be freed.
