All I Need are Books

All I need are books with stories.

Stories that make me think,

Stories that make me sad,

Stories that make me laugh,

Stores that make me mad,

Stories that make me forget.

Without them I can not understand others.

Without them I can not understand myself.

All I need are books with knowledge,

Knowledge that makes me feel normal,

Knowledge that makes me feel smart,

Knowledge that makes me feel important,

Knowldege that makes me feel in control,

Without it I will remain ignorant,

Without it I will remain unsuccessful.

All I need are books.

To make me feel emotion,

To make me feel sane,

To make me feel important,

To make me feel like I still have a brain.

Without books,

How could I feel human?
