All I Need Is Equality
What is one thing I cannot live without?
Is it something tall and lean?
Or something short and stout?
Something kind or something mean?
Is it an idea that comes from within?
Something that gets passed down
From generation to generation or kin to kin?
Will it bring me a smile or make me frown?
The one thing I cannot live without
Is something that has not been fully grasped
And if it has then please prove my doubt
That our minds haven't fully clasped
I simply refuse to live in a world
That seems to lack the ability to
Have this concept tightly curled
Of ending the wage gap between the two
Women and men are one in the same
Working, cooking, hunting and cleaning
Yet we cannot call one another by their simple name
Women are oppressed while men are beaming
I cannot live without equality
Because this should be human morality.
