All I need Is Joy

Stranded, lonely, scared on this deserted island.

No friends or loved ones to be found.

No one to care no one to share my feelings with.

I could just bang my head on a coconut to stop this pain.

This pain, this loneliness,

it’s like a King it wants to forever reign.

Oh why, oh why can I just not break away.

All I need is Joy but I can’t seem to find it.

I can’t have joy when there is none to be found.

How can I find joy in a place like this?

How can I find joy when I’m full of depression,

I’m stressing over this lesson I’m trying to teach myself.

But if I would just look around,

I would realize.

You can’t just find joy you have to make it.

So, I carry a smile and just wander throughout the island,

for a while all those stranded lonely, and scared thoughts start to seep away.

Oh how I want to sing

OH HAPPY DAY!!!!!

The sun is shining!, and I’m still breathing.

If it weren’t for joy I don’t think I would be.
