All I Need is Music

Piano, violin, flute, clarinet,

All I want is the sound of a good quartet.

Those notes all on the page

Speak to me as they disengage.

I can live without home, car, phone, or even friends,

But without music my life would be at its ends.

Without the lovely sounds in my ears,

There would be no sweet melody and I’d be in tears.

Music is my life, joy, and love;

It is like the speeches of angels from above.

My life is devoted to a sad sweet song,

Or maybe it is one we may dance along.

Without music life would be a bore,

So back I go to my work, my life, my score.
