All I Need is a Savior
Trials and temptations constantly lurk around the corner
Never ceasing to bring me stress and anxiety
I imagine my darkest fears coming to life
Loneliness, failure, disappointment
I run but I cannot hide
Suddenly I hear a faint voice behind a door
Calling my name
Beckoning me out of the darkness
It grows louder
Until it is the only thing I can hear
I open the door
And that is when I discover
All I need is a Savior
The answers for my comfort and peace
Lie within the pages of a heavy book
I am broken, beaten, and scarred
But because of my Savior
I am safe
I am loved
I am wanted
Placing an anchor in my newly found faith
I am secure
The fully man and fully God gave His life for me
So I may live
Without His unconditional love and undeserving mercy
I would have no purpose
And because I have His word
That can be found in the Bible
I am held to an expectation
To take the less traveled road
To put others needs before my own
To love when loving seems impossible
His purpose for me is currently unknown
But He has a bird’s eye view of it all
All I know is
All I need is a Savior
