All I Need Is You

If I were alone and stranded

but could prevent being empty handed

I would choose to take you along

because you, my love, keep me strong.

You hold me tight

and it calms my fears

You hug me right

and it dries my tears.

If I were without you

I would feel empty and incomplete

My heart would be a sad shade of blue

and absolutely obsolete

So If I could pick all that I need

I would not choose a book to read

A book gets old and boring

you and I could make our own stories

We could keep eachother warm

during the cold nights

and knowing during the storms

that we aren’t alone, holding on tight

So if you wouldn’t mind

and would be so kind,

would you be stranded with me?

because you’re all I need.
