All I Need is You

I open my eyes
Crystal waters and white sand surround me
The soft wind sings and soothes me

The ship wreck was tragic
To witness loved ones and friends in dismal
The Sea turned against us
Yet the Holy One spared me in the end

I open my eyes
And felt the Sun warm my cheeks
The sand cradled me as I rose to a stand
I look around
I see no one

I am alone

I chuckle
This is interesting
The feelings that I experience daily
Have become a physical reality

Birds chirp and the waves sing
Bringing me music as I walk
Alone
On this deserted beach

‘Hello?’

I gasp
That was a voice
I would recognize that voice any day
The beloved best friend of mine
The one I cherish my soul with
Every dark secret and bright memory

I laugh a bit stressed
Her eyes meet mine
Bestowing to me a gorgeous smile
We meet
A lot is on our minds

I don’t know what will come from this moment
What the future shall hold
I’m with her
And that simple truth
Makes the Sun shine so much brighter
