All I Need is You

I don’t need to be a lot of rest,

And I don’t need to be well-blessed.

I don’t need to be completely witty,

And I don’t need to feel absolutely pretty.

I don’t need hundreds of friends,

And I don’t need to follow the latest trends.

I don’t need to be able to run,

And I don’t need to have any fun.

I don’t need to be happy,

And I don’t need anything sappy.

I don’t need my passion,

And I don’t need the latest fashion.

The only thing I need is you…

And everything for me that you do.

I need the cancer to die away,

And I need you to live another day.

I need you to fight this, Mom,

And I need you to see me go to prom.

I need you at my graduation,

And to take us on our yearly vacations.

I need you to see me marry,

And I need you to live fairly.

I need you to meet my baby,

And help me care for her, maybe?

I don’t need a fancy life, it’s true.

Honestly, all I need is you...
