All I Need is You

We have a secret language, you and I

We have been childhood friends

Playing the days away

You dry my tears and lift from me my woes

You have always been there for me

And while it seems to others that I only speak through you

I speak to you, too

I tell you of my fears, my hopes

Always you listen

But you talk, too

You speak in whispers and in oceans of sound

That is, quite literally, music to my ears

I am not much without you

You might admit the same

And even though there will be others

You will always be my first

Because you had me at c(H)ello.
