All I've ever known
I sit in their office
and tell them my story
as they sit and watch feeling sorry
they say my story isn't over
and my journey has just begun
but who are they to say my battle is done
and I have won?
Because as far as I know
damage has been done
and has taken me away from trusting anyone
I often doubt of ever getting out
so I take the easy way out
Drugs
Sex
and lonely nights
They say I need to fight,
fight through all the shame
but every time I fight
I find myself face to face
with myself
And go back to the only thing I've ever known
and that's being all alone.
