All I've Ever Wanted
How could I live without it?
All I've ever wanted was to be insulted
To be reminded every day that I will never be first chair
That I am smart but not Harvard Smart
That I'm beautiful but not enough to be on Vogue
I wake up in the morning
Only to look into the mirror
That shows me all of the flaws I can't wait to acknowledge
My big nose that makes me feel like a second cousin to an elephant
My muffin top that could make Cake Boss jealous
My thighs that are big enough to support a family of five
All of these things I can't even imagine going into the world without
Never would I even imagine living without not being considered equal
I love not getting a job because of the color of my skin
And even when I do, my dollar actually equals 77 cents not $1
I've only ever wanted to be treated like a piece of meat
Rather than a human being that feels uncomfortable
Because why on Earth would I want to be loved?
Why would I want an equal chance at life like everyone else?
I can live without being considered beautiful
I can live with being whistled at to fuel someone's ego
At the end of the day
Why would I want to enjoy my life when I can't live with negativity?
Why can't others see the flaw in my desires?
