All of Me
I am
a girl with long black hair,
brown eyes.
I am
the girl in the corner,
quiet and alone;
But that’s not all of me.
I am
the books I read,
the quotes I highlight,
the characters I love,
the characters I pretend to be.
I am
the music I listen to,
the songs on repeat,
the lyrics written on the back
of all my papers.
I am
the people I meet,
the friends I’ve made,
the family I grew up with,
the guys I’ve fallen for.
I am
all the laughs,
all the smiles,
all the tears.
I am
the mistakes I’ve made,
the past, the present, the future.
I am, I am, I am.
I am made up
of you
of us
of them;
of books
and music
and people
and moments
that all add up
and up
and up
and up
until all that’s left
is all of me.
