All Night

My love for you is like rain constant all night long Changing not in form nor power, braving the darkness of discouragement Sitting here and feeling too depressed to act is discouragement Rain is your fire in me giving endurance Your love is like sleep, making life seem shorter My feeble heart has insomnia, it foolishly fights the world alone Give me a sleep with no dreams so I may awake in what seems five minutes I want no drama, I want only quick refreshment I am kept awake by my obligations so as these and you are not here Maybe you would fix it all, then again, no you wouldn't You are imperfect so am I. I love you still If you murdered, not one raindrop of love would cease to fall Love seeks not my pleasure it chases something else Something that is unknown, something He has put down All night you are here in spirit, you inspire this story Of how you are like the sunrise, you bring morning's perfection I would say more if it were not for my needs All night dehumanize us all, it drains our worth Except when there is rain, except when there is sleep Except when their is morning
