All-Nighters

Dear All-nighters,

Coffee is what I need

Caffeine, which reawakens my mind

Without this drug I’m anxious

Americano, Latte, Espresso, Macchiato, Schlagobers

Any kind is perfectly fine

I can count on coffee

Especially on late night assignments

Baristas I give my thanks

Yet this relationship between us

Has become harmful to poisonous

For this reason I confess

That I put a hiatus

On my consumption of caffeine

For it has become my enemy

Damaging my kidney so cheers

To water for saving me
