Of All The People To Love

People find sanctuary in material things

like money or objects that remain

temporary.

My sanctuary though, is in his smile

or his eyes that are

patterned

like a kalioscope.

His words are like music.

The way he looks not just at me, but my soul,

it kills me

then revives me.

Does he know how badly I want to love him,

but can't

in the arms of another?
