All the Plenty

Little Ronnie lived a french vanilla life. Every tasty topping at his disposal, each delicious morsel having grazed the edge of his candy covered lips, every chocolate covered, strawberry candied topping ready to be plopped into his bowl on a whim if need be. The shallow spoons of the world around him were nothing compared to the grand, endless depth of Ronnie’s dessert dish. Ronnie’s Neapolitan parents were preoccupied elsewhere; The missing cherries atop of a scrumptious sundae; too engorged in raking in the sprinkles, to enjoy life’s riches with Ronnie. Despite the immeasurable consumption of the cool delicacy, Ronnie was soon unable to satisfy the hunger he assumed was for the lavish treat. In actuality, it was a mere craving to belong with the seemingly non-existent parents; to create the perfect vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry sundae, existing together in a flavorful harmony. Even an infinite amount of ice cream cannot satiate the desire for what truly matters in life, which is to be around those you love, and love you just the same.
