All the Reasons Why

I didn't know it then, but I was a bastard child,

He was never there to love me,

I was fool to believe he was.

I have only ever been alone, without knowing I have been running all my life,

I've run away from him all my life;

From all of the times he said he loved me, of all the times he said, "I'm yours",

I've run away from all the pain that you've but me through, pretending not to notice,

How you were never there when I needed you, or that you never stayed at night.

Why did you have to run not only my life, but now hers as well?

Why would you bring someone else to our messed up world if you were never there for me?

WIll you love her, because you never loved me?

Why was I never good enough?

I'll do what I have always done, run...

From you, from this life, from everything that I have ever known,

I will leave with a new name, as far away as I can,

And when you realise the stupidity of what you have done and you ask yourself, "why?"

Forget me.

I will have already moved on.
