All She Needed
- Raving mad was the sun
- Unfair deals signed with nature
- Paying for being a woman
- Toiled in it's venomous fangs
- Basked in it's scotching flames
- Bathing in dust, whipped by thorny stems
- Bleeding hopeless child of the morning
- She's lived a life of mourning
- And on a misty day
- She rose without a care
- Picked a pot of clay and disappeared in the curves
- And on a misty day, she became a woman of the shadows
- The sun couldn't burn her
- Soothing was the feel of mist on her scalded flesh
- Healing was the mist on her injured chest
- She'd lost the race
- And broken a curse
- She had won a lifelong case
- And on a misty day....
- A smile was all she needed.....
