All There Is

I am.

That's about all there is to it.
I am a being.  A shining one.
Ready to laugh, more than willing to smile.
Posting encouraging sticky notes on everyone's door.
So no one feels lonely. So everyone knows there is
going to be some random person there. Always.
You need a helping hand? I'll lend you mine.
No matter what I am struggling through, I'll be there.
If you need me.
If you don't, I'll be dancing or reading.
Fighting my own demons, but everyone does.
Most of them are self-created. I am my own worst enemy.
I am striving, though, to be the best that I can be.
A hundred and ten percent is never enough.
But I don't give up. Even when I think I am beat.
Because I'm not. I can control that.
And I know it.
I am.
Bright and loud, quiet and smart, stupid and funny.
Lover of the simplicity of looking at nature and the stars.
I am unconventional. But I am me.
And, really, that is all that matters.
