All There Is To Want

When I think of all the things I could

When I meditate on day and night

When I consider all, I find no proof

That wealth and fame bring what they would

That having love is worth the fight

That life is better in one’s youth

But this I know, and well I should

But this I stand in faith to write

But this is by way of my proof

Without my God there is no good

Without my God there is no right

Without my God there is no truth

Without my God there is no joy

Without my God there is no hope

My God is all there is to want
