All Through the Silent Night...

...the frail old lady strains her bones and muscles to get that box of hot chocolate... ...the workaholic decides to do overtime in his small cubicle with a stack of papers, eyes glued to the screen... ...the little girl stares outside, looking at the other children as they make men and angels, they laugh...the window fogs up a little when she sighs... ...the empty youngster waits in a two-seated café, just staring outside as he absent-mindedly sips his cold, tasteless cup of coffee...waiting... ...aching, she drinks her hot chocolate, trying to make it last... ...tired, he tells himself to ignore the quiet... ...sad, she lays in bed, pondering about the next day... ...losing hope, he walks alone through the dark alleys... ...silent night, holy night....
