All the Truth I Know

Nature’s simplicity

I was taught through haiku

A strange sense of humor

From the limerick I drew

In Whitman’s lines I find

Inspiration anew

And Dickinson’s hope

Has often seen me through

Reading Shakespeare’s sonnets

Has taught me how to woo

Writing rhyming couplets,

Helps this endeavor too

All from poetry this

And even more I do

Learned in meter and rhythm

Each lesson holding true

Nice poem! The meter gave it a "hoppy" feeling.
