All We Want

How captivating is it

to watch the sun who was told

she must love the sky,

fearlessly defy,

to fall to her knees with all in sight

and kiss the moon goodnight.

How is it,

that he may love the girl of his dreams

and we must not be seen.

There's nothing better than to live without fear,

for all I have done I cannot shed a tear,

you will not be a force to come in-between.

How is it,

we won't do what it takes for us to be seen right

and not be put out on the spot,

to fight,

and love who we love without any spite.

How amazing is it,

to watch the caterpillar grow,

building his way through tranformation

just as we must as people,

to become a butterfly

that can change something about the world.
