All In a Year

Blades of grass Tiny flowers He twists a chain And places it, Delicately, Around my neck. I will it to stay. I breathe softly; I do not move. -- Thin sweaters Indecisive breeze He hugs me Tightly. I absorb his warmth. I will it to stay. I cannot breathe; I cannot move. -- Clean air Falling snow He's asleep inside; I welcome the frost. I breathe deeply And stretch. -- Limbs entwined Sheer curtains blowing I am the rain grasping the pavement. He is touch. Undeniably present (Pleasant), And yet I wash away.
