All For You

An American soldier He gave his life for my freedom For this countries independence A ceremony will be held Many will attend To see this fallen soldier One last time Unbelievable pain Countless tears will be shed Feeling as if we were the ones who bled A childless mother Father without a son Remembering the one Who was shot down by a gun As I sit in the pew I wonder how I could thank this hero For fighting this war For I am just one of the few Who stay home safe and sound Not knowing whats its like to see someone bombed In this world We take so much for granted Life as we know it could never be the same So thank you You American soldier who lay in the blackest of black casket We will never forget What you gave that day When you fell to the ground And breathed that last breath
