All For You

It’s strange to come home now.

You are no longer at the door waiting for me.

It’s strange to cook dinner.

You no longer sing and sway around the kitchen.

It’s the silence of the house that’s the strangest.

All the moments I took for granted,

for you, they were everything.

You brightened up the day.

Everything you did brought a smile to my face.

I no longer smile as much.

Do you watch over me?

I no longer sing in the kitchen or dance in my room.

Tell me you’re watching over me.

You can see me from your spot in the sky,

all the hatred and anger is long gone.

The sun sets and rises.

Time passes by.

Heaven welcomes you and you are smiling again.

Is it nice?

A memory of you came to me last night. You

place your hand

on my shoulder but that was all I could remember.

Earth continues to spin without you and

with you I’d be happier but I know what

you would

tell

me.

“All my life I did everything I could for you.

The good and bad moments,

things you don’t even remember, everything was for

you.

Want and need for me

to be by your side, to

do the things we always do together,

you will learn to live without it, learn to live without me”

Say that you love me,

that you miss me.

You were gone before I could say goodbye.

Like a whisper of days gone by.

The good times and the

bad,

girls say they miss it all but all the

honey will never be as sweet as seeing you again.

Is it nice up there?

That place in the sky. I don’t know if it’s a

true place or not. If

it’s fiction and fantasy but Lydia believes it to be

better

than here.

I want to believe you’re somewhere better too,

ever happy and free

even if it’s just a dream. I

knew that one day this would happen.

They all said it to be true but I just want to hear you

say that you love me,

that you miss me

The time I spent with you seems forever ago, the

world continues to move on without you.

Was this all just a bad dream? The city you

built

for me continues to grow.

Two years into the future and already

only few traces of you remain. Was it

worth it?

Living in this world without you

if it means people are happier?

Somebody will make this city a better place but

is it worth it?

Loving this world but living in it without

you
