Is That All You Got?
On a barren island
with nowhere in sight
I chose my item wisely
So I can overcome the night
I chose the modest book
"How to build a Raft"
So I can escape
With a boat that I craft
Many days I toil
Over this here ship
With blood sweat and tears
I begin by long trip
I sail for long months
With no food or drink
I might become thirsty
But my mind will stay quick
The fish might be fast
And the sharks will be cruel
But after a long day of trying
I get food for fuel
Now strengthened am I
From the tender juicy fish
Now the only thing
Is for land, I wish
Months have passed
And I hunger no more
As I see over the horizon
A city on the shore
As I row like a bull
With the strength I do feel
The waves might be strong
But my arms are pure steel
Finally I get home
In pain I am not
I exclaim with a shout
"Nature, is that all you got?"
