All You Need

The person in the glass stares back at you.

Negative thoughts occupy your mind,

And all you’re trying to do

Is put it behind

You close your eyes,

And feel helpless

So dark as the stormy skies,

Like a scattered mess.

You don’t know how,

To fix yourself

But you take a stand,

And make a vow.

The bible caress’ your hand

And the emptiness of your heart,

Is no longer held by a thin strand

Suddenly you’re at a new start

You feel bright,

And blessed

You’re no longer in a fight,

With yourself

He’s there, hovering over your life

You no longer feel worry,

And happiness abruptly surrounds you,

Causing all the negative thoughts to scurry

You look once again,

At that person in the glass,

Then you realize,

All you needed was Him.
