Allegiance
“Your fault,.” he would say.
“You’re right.” Regret filled me.
“Try harder,” he spat in my face.
“I will.” Shame rose up.
“You need me,” he simply stated.
“Please don’t go.” Panic overwhelmed me.
“You’re worthless,” he shouted.
“I know.” Guilt-ridden.
“This is the last straw,” it came to.
“I love you,” my final breath.
