Almost

If there were a word to describe us
I'd say almost

We were perfect for each other
But too afraid of what we'd ruin for one another

900 miles and seven years
It kept us apart
But it didn't stop the tears

Begging for closure
Begging for an end
Why you were satisfied with almost
I'll never comprehend

Yet it was better than nothing
There's not a thing I wouldn't do
I'd give anything
Just to have an almost with you
