Almost Become an Obsession

You were my obsession, baby

the one I thought I'd forever love

you had my hopes and dreams, baby

I thought you came from above

But I found out you weren't all that

that what I imagined was not a fact

the truth is you suck

and it was just my luck

in my stupid little teenage mind

to make you my obsession, baby

I hate the way you smile

I can't look into your face

I hate the way you laugh

And I think it was Grace

that made me see my mistake

in making you the center of my life

you've only brought me strife

I'm glad I'm getting over you before I got to fall

and looking back

I thank God that now

your not my obsession

at all
