Almost Gone

(poems go here)The end of high school is very near I will miss my friends so close and dear New places and faces are coming my way I can't wait to see what life has to say I'm Almost Gone I grew up where the blacktop ends A million memories living in my head Fun and laughter is what I've known Now I head off to college on my own I'm Almost Gone As I wave goodbye to my mom and dad I'm happy I'm excited and truthfully sad The tears in their eyes are tears of love Who I've become and what I'm made of I'm Almost Gone
