Almost Gone

How many times have I said goodbye? How often have I come back longed for your voice your support your love How many times have you slipped up? gone to another place where you didn't hear me my cries my screams How many times have I reached out to you? forgiven your past sins called for your embrace longed to see your face This is the turning point where I stop following you you're so far gone the demons in your soul pushing you further and further away to a place where I'm not welcome I'm slowly melting away wishing that you would care enough to reach out and hold me embrace me tell me you love me But you're not ever here you're not truly my father you're a myth a story told to young girls to give hope in what is not real
