Almost losing you...

Almost losing you …

Truth be told …

I was scared and terrified

I questioned the whole situation

“Why did you go with your friends?”

“Why didn’t you just stay home?”

Stay home and stay home with your family instead

In the beginning i couldn’t believe it

I almost lost you…

Seeing you in that white bed

Wearing that light blue gown

That only went up to your knees

And all the machines surrounding

And the monitor being consistent

* Beep… Beep…Beep… Beep… Beep*

Was music to my ears

That I hoped would never end

But the part that hurt me the most

The  part that tore me to pieces

Was the part where you opened your eyes

Seeing all the pain you were in

Seeing you not able to speak

Seeing you not able to eat

Seeing all the tubes that were in your body

That was the part that damaged me

I should’ve tried harder to make you stay

It was the wrong time and place

But now it was too late

  1. All i could now…

Was pray that god wouldn’t take you away
