Alone
Though time shall pass
And we shall die
Alone at last
One will survive
A caring mother
With child on hip
A lovely maiden
With scarlet lips
Neither of these
Shall he see
A hearty laugh
A sorrowed cry
A church's bells
The birds in the sky
None of these
Will he hear
Sweet perfumes
Fresh cut roses
All the wonders
That grace our noses
None of these
Will he smell
Pain
Scarred flesh
And Cold Steel
These are what
He knows and feels
For though time shall pass
And we shall die
Alone forever
He will cry
