Alone

I maybe the only person in here,
But I'm not alone.
A little ball of life is growing inside of me,
Tiny and precious.
But why am I sad?
I should be happy,
Excited.
I should be picking out baby names,
while I sit and  imagine the face of my beautiful, unborn child.
Thinking of how my husband's face will light up
as he holds our newborn baby...
but no.
I'm in an abortion clinic.
Not doing any of the above.
It's been a week since I found out I was pregnant..
And It's been a month since my husband died.
Tears blinded me as a blurry figure approached me
And said
“Cash or Credit?”
I handed her my money and she took me to a very cheerful looking room..
The opposite of what it actually was.
The nurse said
“The doctor will be
with you soon.”
and then she left.
Simple as that.
I fell asleep during the procedure..
When I awoke, the doctor said
that It went fine, no complications whatsoever.
I left that horrid place
and stepped onto the crowded, busy sidewalk.
I may look like I'm surrounded by plenty of  people,
But right now,
I'm alone.
