Alone
(poems go here) I hold back my pain.
I do it all the time.
If only people saw the true me,
without me paying a dime.
I see my friends,
I see their lives.
I think they're better,
better then mine.
One friends,
gorgeous as can be.
Gets all the guys,
unlike me.
Another friends,
talented beyond compare.
I cannot match her,
I could not dare.
Another close friend,
considered a school buff.
Beats all my grades by a landslide,
I'm just not good enough.
I dream one day I'll be like them,
Smart talented and beautiful.
Along with being tough,
tougher than a bull.
My confidence is very low,
as one can see.
Maybe I'm just average,
and that's all I'll ever be.
I still believe there's hope.
Hope, love, joy, and grace.
Then maybe you'll see a smile,
a smile upon my face.
