Alone

Hours and hours of standing alone
Never knowing how the wind will flow
And being unable to light the fire
And sore must be thou hands so cold
Nor shall death brag thee in the darkness

How does one stay so silent
Even  amidst a blistering storm
And as the lightning blinds their eyes
They dance like demons in the night
And only a loud thunder cry
Can bring them down with a BOOM!

In many a day they hide in shadows
Always cold - alone - and silent
Always loving - kind - and beautiful
Always misunderstood - judged - and ashamed
Will become the thundering voice
Standing alone for hours and hours.
