Alone?
Without this Book, would I still be fine?
Without it how desperate would I be
How confused, lost and hopeless?
Yes this is the thing I choose,
The one thing that will bring me close to You.
If I were alone on that isle I could be
It is not the one thing I need, but the one I want
Drawing me closer, I am not my own.
In this Book, of my Savior, I read
Lifted by the words, encouraged by his suffering
Feeling my troubles fall into his hands
I pray to let it guide me
Let it remind me of hope and center me to Him
In my suffering I find you steady
Love, Love this Book reveals, here with me
How could I be without this treasure?
