Alone

Again I feel my heart crumbling
My spirit is twisting and tears are welling
under all this pain.
I’m happy for him,
He’s going to make himself a better life
But inside I feel empty,
without his strong arms around my waist,
his warm breath in my hair.
My mind laughs at me
my conscious calls me dumb
“This is why you trust no one.
The only place love will ever get you is pain again.
You didn’t listen to yourself,
what your past has already shown you,
now look were you are.”
Alone. Again.
