Alone

I see all these faces,

Some I know,

Most I don't.

I see someone I know.

Averting my eyes,

Pretending not to see

Turning into my class,

I sit down in the back corner and take a breath.

I made it without an encounter,

People are mean, nasty, two-faced.

Something I want nothing to do with.

No one understands,

I guess I'm on my own.
