Alone

I sit alone in my room,

basking in the darkness gloom.

The sound of silence ringing in my ears,

as I picture all my greatest fears.

I wish that people could see

the crippling loneliness that consumes me.

Thinking of people from my past

who have come and gone just as fast

only distant memories in my mind

of people I thought I would never find.

Life will get better as I progress

So for now, I digress.
