Alone

Cold was the wind

On that dark stormy night.

She hid in the closet,

Her eyes shut tight.

People were crying saying it was alright.

But she knew.

It was so quiet.

She could hear a pin drop.

Somebody screamed,

Her stomach and heart dropped.

Tears leaked from her eyes,

Why wouldn’t it stop?

She was alone,

Not a friend in the world.

Yes she was alone.
