Alone

She lays on the ground thinking of better times,

The night he kissed her under the moonlight.

The day she met the man of her dreams,

The present disaster she brought upon herself.

The rain soaks her clothes in sorrow,

The mud infects her many wounds,

The blood runs in rivers to the wasteland.

She cries as the lightning strikes,

She pleads to the thunder's mighty roar,

She writhes under the skies unmerciful tears,

She shivers as her clothes turn to ice,

She confides in the midnight storm,

That saw the night her heart was broken.
