Alone and Gone

Outside, the dawn breaks

Glowing orange and pink

            purple

             blue

              red

The roses close in on themselves

The leaves fade away

The wind whispers Bye

            to her

She sits there

   thinking

       listening

           loving

the feeling of the water

lapping at her feet

the birds fluttering their lovely

          secrets

Years go bye

She is older

Still, she sits

The days sink away

into melting sunsets

The roses opening up

releasing their sents

The leaves come back

alog with the waking of the trees

the wind sings its song of hello...

But they are oblivious

She sits there...yes

devoid

   emotionless

                  cold

The feeling of the water

sucking in her very soul

         her heart

until it is fat and red

Yet the birds still flutter their secrets

and the wind sings its song

as she sits there

    Alone

      and

    Gone
