Alone in the Dark

Dear Haley,

In thick and suffocating darkness he remains

All alone, not a whisper, not a sound

The demons inside are his banes

Driving him to the edge like a hellhound

A snake offers a solution, a deception

What he gives will hurt, not help

The snake only provides an infection

The flowers will only grind his brain into a pulp

After being hunted for endless nights

Only then does the light descend upon him

The light can him to new heights

An escape from being the victim

The way has been shown

The fight is endless but he’s not alone

Sincerely,

Spencer Stevens
