Alone in my bedWishing for

Alone in my bed

Wishing for a brighter day

A future with a shining light

Will it come someday?

Living in the darkness

Searching for the light

Its in the distance

But is it in store for me?

Will I find what I desire?

It comes and it goes

But its all an illusion

Because in the end you’re

Left in the cold and left in the darkness

Like a puppy with a for sale sign

Hiding in a crumbling cardboard box

Drenched with the cold, pouring rain

Hoping someone will come save it from its loneliness

And the blistering wind and cold

I drive down a dark road

Imagining what my future has for me

Feeling like the days don’t get better

Only stay the same or get worse

I see an endless dark road

And as a cars light emerges around a street corner

I contemplate should I just wait for the next car to come

And hit me as a sit in the bright headlights pathway

Like a deer getting run over in its path

Sometimes I feel like my insides are being pulled in all directions

Like someones chest being stretched in all directions

Can’t handle the pressure

It pulls too hard

It breaks me down

And like a ticking bomb

Time awaits

It can only hold itself tight and together for so long
