Alone but Never Alone

You say I'm here alone

But I can never be

I'm never on my own

I have Jesus here with me

He's in my heart and in my soul

You can't take that away

He's here with me; though billows roll

And my faith may sometimes sway

"Oh, you with little faith," he claims

"In me you can be strong"

He knows the great stars by their names

So how could He be wrong?

I've been trapped on islands once or twice

Through travels in my past

Alone, I have the fear of mice

But His strength was made to last

I've been there many times before

I'll soon be there again

But Jesus loves me more and more

Because He knows where I've been

And now I know that I should go

I've more islands to endure

But I'll be safe, through sun or snow

Because my Jesus lives for sure
